After a period of intensive research and study. All Computers have created a complete set of standards which can be adopted by any organization to maintain and manage their IT infrastructure. This set of standards is called Standard Office Environment ( S.O.E ). It is based on the world’s leading technologies like Microsoft Windows NT / 2000 and Cisco Systems. It contains complete integrated filing system and email system based on Microsoft Exchange 2000, with complete Microsoft Office suite for word processing and spreadsheets. This give the users most productive and secure environment as per international standards of networking.

Client / Server Based

The S.O.E system is strictly client / server based system therefore everything is stored and managed from the server. The client workstations are just terminals of the central server which contains all the information and security settings. The server can be clustered with more servers to offer a better client performance and redundancy. The data is completely stored on the servers therefore the individual machines are not the point of error any more and servers are continuously monitored using S.O.E Procedures giving less chance of error.

Roaming User Profiles

The users of S.O.E system are considered as entities and access to the system is based on the user login information ( username, password ). With roaming profiles any user can logon to any workstation as if he/she is on his/her own computer. The desktop settings and the documents move with the users to any computer they logon to giving you completely identity based system and not machine based system.

Central Filing System

S.O.E contains a central filing system where all the users can store the shared information and the managers can also specify security options on the folders or files in the central filing system. The Central Filing system can be accessed from any client machine on a S.O.E System.

Integrated Email System

S.O.E contains a Microsoft Exchange 2000 based email system giving email access to every user in a S.O.E system. User can check email from any workstation by logging on to the S.O.E network with his/her username and password. The emails are stored centrally on the server so there is no worry if the client machine crashes or become out of order the email data is kept safe. In addition to this there is a public folders section in exchange 2000 which can be used to centrally share email correspondence with other users.

Managed Software Installation

S.O.E Contains a managed software installation system, this means that you don't need to install different software packages on to different client machines, rather all the software installations can be managed from the server and assigned or published to the specific group of users who require that application.

Internet / Intranet Integration

This system can be completely integrated with internet using different methods of connection including Dialup, DSL, Leased Line, Satellite, VSAT. With the improved firewall and intrusion detection system keeping you safe from hacking attempts and viruses.

Backup Procedures

S.O.E have its standard backup procedures which can be followed to keep the system backed up and ready to recover from any disaster ASAP.

Completely Documented System

This is a completely documented system that means that all the procedures and tasks can be found in the S.O.E documentation available from S.O.E. Development team. The system must be audited at regular intervals and auditing documents should be returned to the S.O.E administrator of the Specific S.O.E implementation.
